About Adam
I've got the bug
I'm Adam Webster — a professional photographer, television producer/director and cameraman with over 15 years' experience creating content for some of the UK's best-loved television shows.
I've had a lifelong passion for photography and a career spent capturing people, places and stories have shaped the way I work: with a creative eye, an instinct for the moments that matter, and an appreciation for the details others might miss.
A career in television
My dad was a BBC journalist and created his own TV company after an exciting career on the road. From the age of 12 I was recruited and found myself carrying tripods, holding reflectors under politicians and totally legally (ahem) driving his car as he filmed out the boot! When I was 18 I got gifted a Canon stills camera. I had the bug! The camera came with me everywhere, and it was neither small nor light. I would take thousands of pictures at family events, university outings and when anything piqued my interest.
It's the skills I learnt through taking too many pictures and deleting the bad ones, that taught me how to compose an image correctly, first time around. This eventually gave me the instincts I needed to film television shows. The first job I got after studying television at university I was lucky enough to be paired with a director who didn't like filming... From that moment on I was filming everything from pandas in China, pilots in South Africa, orphans in India and everything in-between.
My approach
Over the years, I've had the pleasure of meeting and filming hundreds of different people, many of whom had never been in front of a camera before. It's taught me how to put people at ease, read a room and recognise when the atmosphere is right. I know when to take the lead, when to step back and, most importantly, when to go with the flow to bring out the laughter and natural moments. For me, the most important thing is that you enjoy the experience. Whether it's bringing your dog along to the park, getting the whole family together for a garden party or capturing the excitement of your wedding day, I want you to look back and feel that choosing me was one of the best decisions you made.
I'll treat you with respect, bring a calm head when things get hectic and make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. Ultimately, I'll give you something that means far more than just a collection of photographs: memories you'll treasure for years to come. And that's probably the best part of the job for me.
Let's work together
Whether you're planning a wedding, a family session, or need professional headshots — I'd love to hear from you.
